German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has arrived in Kyiv.

The German Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius has arrived in Kyiv for talks with the Ukrainian government. This was reported by the German television service Tagesschau.

In an interview with the news agency dpa, Pistorius highlighted that the purpose of his visit is to discuss further military assistance to Ukraine and to assess the current situation on the front lines.

On the eve of his visit, the minister denied rumors about an alleged block by the Chancellor of Germany regarding a new support package for Ukraine. According to him, the assistance package has already been prepared by the Ministry of Defense, but its approval requires a political decision.
