The Kyiv Court of Appeal upheld the detention measure for a Russian serviceman suspected of intentionally murdering a civilian in Bucha.

On December 23, the panel of judges from the Criminal Chamber of the Kyiv Court of Appeals examined the appeal filed by the defense against the ruling of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated June 18, 2024, which imposed a measure of restraint in the form of detention on the suspect, a Russian military member. This information was reported by the court's press service.

As a result of the appellate review, the ruling of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated June 18, 2024, was left unchanged, and the defense's appeal was denied.

It is worth noting that the citizen of Russia is suspected of intentional murder of a civilian in Bucha during the temporary occupation.
