As is well known, in the coming week, 7 major banks are preparing to sign a memorandum among themselves to strengthen restrictions on card transfers.
However, the final text of the document has not yet been agreed upon, writes "RBK-Ukraine," citing the text of the memorandum.
It is noted that the banks plan to introduce transparent rules, starting with proper client verification, and conducting transfers for individual clients, as well as for individual entrepreneur clients, with differentiation based on the client's risk profile and planned account transactions.
The banks intend to impose restrictions on outgoing transfers from card to card, except for clients with verified sources of income, including salary clients and volunteers.
In the absence of documented proof of income:
for clients classified as "high" risk, a limit of up to 50 thousand hryvnias per month will be established;
for clients classified as "medium" and "low" risk - according to the limits and timelines for phased implementation:
from January 1, 2025 – a limit of up to 150 thousand hryvnias per month,
from June 1, 2025 – a limit of up to 100 thousand hryvnias per month.
The participating banks will introduce restrictions on the number of accounts opened in one currency for a single client, excluding deposit accounts, credit accounts, and accounts opened for clients using state support programs (єВідновлення, National Cashback, and others), specifically:
current accounts in one currency – no more than three accounts for clients without documented sources of income.
As previously wrote "Judicial and Legal Newspaper", starting from October 1, 2024, a temporary limit of 150,000 UAH per month for transfers between individuals from card to card (also known as P2P, C2C) came into effect for six months.
