Sergeant Vitaliy Horzhevskyi, call sign "Bart," from the 114th Brigade reported a critical situation threatening the combat readiness of Ukrainian aviation. An official video appeal has also been released.

"We, the aviation technical staff, have been fulfilling our mission for over ten years, servicing the MiG-29 fighters. Since 2014, we have been working under the most challenging conditions, ensuring combat flights and keeping our aviation operational. We have mastered new types of aircraft provided by our Western partners and are training a new generation of pilots," Bart stated.

According to the military, a telegram was received by the unit regarding the transfer of almost all technicians to the infantry, meaning that the unit will be left without technical personnel to service our aircraft. Previously, 250 people were taken from the brigade, and now another 218 are planned. This means there will be no one to maintain the aviation equipment.

Aviation technicians are appealing to society for support and publicity. The loss of technical personnel could not only undermine the combat readiness of the Air Force but also jeopardize the country's security, says Vitaliy Horzhevskyi.

"We are trying to maintain combat readiness, but without maintenance personnel, this is simply impossible. If we do not receive support and publicity now, we will lose the ability not only to defend our land but also the very foundation of our aviation," the aviation technicians concluded.
