The First Planet Parade
On January 21, just after sunset, six planets will be visible in the sky - Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, and Saturn. The unique aspect of this phenomenon is that some planets can be seen even with the naked eye. For amateur astronomers, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beauty of space.
A Grand Parade in February
On February 28, we can expect an even more spectacular sight — the simultaneous alignment of seven planets – Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars. This rare alignment is due to the specific characteristics of the orbits and the positions of the planets relative to Earth.
Why Do Planets Align?
This alignment is possible because all the planets in the solar system orbit the Sun in the plane of the ecliptic. This plane formed from the protoplanetary disk billions of years ago when our star system was just beginning to form. When several planets find themselves on one side of the Sun and align almost in a straight line, we observe this unique paradox.
How to Observe the Planet Parade
For the best view of these cosmic events, it is advisable to have a telescope or binoculars, as they allow for the observation of planetary details. However, some celestial bodies will be visible even with the naked eye if the weather is clear.
Don’t miss this opportunity to feel part of the infinite Universe — such phenomena remind us of how amazing and mysterious our Solar System is.
