If a Ukrainian is denied a subsidy, they can reapply along with certain documents that may change the decision of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU). This was explained by Elena Syuchugova, the head of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region, during a broadcast on "Ukrainian Radio. Mykolaiv".

SubscribeThe most common reason for denying a subsidy is outstanding utility payments. This refers to overdue debts for more than three months that exceed 40 non-taxable minimums of citizens' income (680 UAH).
However, the PFU's "verdict" regarding the denial can be altered without the need to immediately and fully pay off the debt.
"If a person was denied a subsidy for the following year due to outstanding utility debts, they can provide documents proving payment of the debts or a debt restructuring agreement," the official explained.

Show moreElena Syuchugova emphasized that to apply for a subsidy effective from October 1, documents should be submitted no later than November 30. However, in the following months, Ukrainians can still apply for a "winter" subsidy, but it will be granted from the date of application.
